Infertility Cure
Infertility is a condition of the reproductive system which impairs the ability to conceive. This condition prevails in both men and women. For a woman it’s the inability to conceive a baby while for a man it’s the inability to impregnate.
Infertility is a common problem among couples all around the world. According to statistics of the Department of Health and Human Service, USA, 10%-15% of couples in the US are infertile. A couple will be identified as infertile when 12 months of regular intercourse without the use of contraception has failed to conceive a baby. Statistics further reveal that 20% of cases of infertility are caused due to a problem with men while 40%-50% of cases are caused due to a problem with women.
There are many causes of infertility such as those arising from an individual’s lifestyle that include the heavy use of alcohol, tobacco or drugs, starvation diets or anorexic conditions, stress etc. In addition to these many medical conditions also cause infertility in men and women. For a woman conditions such as Pelvic Inflammatory Disease (PID), Polycystic ovary syndrome (PCO) etc. can lead to infertility while for a man medical conditions such as Autoimmunity, Chronic prostate infections etc. can cause infertility.
The condition of infertility is curable depending on the individuals and the cause. Many treatment options are made available for both men and women. Before engaging in an infertility cure treatment, a couple or an individual is expected to face a number of tests to identify the exact cause. For men tests such as general physical exams, semen analysis, blood tests, ultra sound tests and Chlamydia tests will be carried out. For woman specific tests such as Hysterosalpingography, Laparoscopy, Genetic testing, Thyroid function test etc. will be carried out.
Once the tests are completed and the cause of the problem is identified, the decision of who needs to undergo infertility cure treatment will be simplified i.e. if the infertility cure treatment should be done for the man, woman or both.
Just as pre infertility cure treatment tests are categorized for males and females, infertility cure treatment options are also similarly grouped. Male fertility cure options include distinct treatments such as Erectile dysfunction or premature ejaculation, Varicocele, Blockage of the ejaculatory duct, Retrograde ejaculation or Surgery for epididymal blockage depending on the individual condition.
However for a woman the treatment options will vary. Options include prescribed drugs such as Clomifene, Metformin, Bromocriptine etc and surgical procedures such as Fallopian tube surgery; Laparoscopic surgery etc. can be performed. In addition to the above infertility cure treatments, a general guideline on frequency of intercourse will be specified to the couple.
However engaging in such infertility cure treatments carry the risk of multiple pregnancies leading to a high risk of premature labour. Therefore consulting a well known and recognized specialist is important so that the patient will be constantly monitored, thus reducing the risks involved in infertility cure treatments.
